Homemade Bounty Bar – healthier, yum and fun!

You can skip Steps 1 – 5 if you want to use store bought shredded coconut! 🥥
Step 1: Get the hammer 🔨
Step 2: Go around the equator of the coconut and keep banging at the coconut while turning it around (don’t give up! it will eventually open 😆) Step 3: With a potato peeler, peel off the brown coconut meat skin
Step 4: Grate the coconut meat
Step 5: Bake the shredded coconut in the oven at 60°C for about 25 mins
Making the Bounty Bar (makes about 15 bars – you can store forever (almost) in the freezer)
3 cups shredded coconut
1/3 cup coconut oil
1/3 cup maple syrup (or other sweetener)
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/2 tsp salt
~1 cup melted dark chocolate (or milk chocolate if you prefer)
PS: You don’t need the silicone mould to make this recipe. You can just use a normal tray 😁
