Trying to take selfies often results in me taking too many, hating them all, and then giving up and feeling relatively terrible about myself for the next little while. It’s super unpleasant and that’s the real reason why I almost never share them.
I often won’t even bother trying one without makeup on, and if I do manage to take one I kind of like, I’m usually afraid to post it without at least some light editing (or even Facetune, which never fails to leave me feeling depressed that I feel so not good enough as to think I need to use FaceTune 😬).
But not today.
Here is a selfie without makeup, without filters, and definitely without Facetune.
Usually that would make me feel very insecure, but after my visit to @sonyadakar today, I feel beautiful and empowered to share my natural self(ie) with the world.
Sonya is incredibly sweet and passionate about making sure that the beauty that resides on the inside of each of us is able to radiate outward with skin that truly glows.
This isn’t sponsored. I’m just grateful to feel like the most natural and beautiful version of myself today, and I wanted to share it. Thank you for all that you do @sonyadakar! 💗
