There’s a scene in the movie Runaway Bride, where Richard Gere asks Julia Roberts how she likes her eggs. 🍳
.
He’s asking her, because he has realized that her answer was different with each of her ex-fiancés… it always matched theirs. 😳
.
The truth is, she doesn’t know the answer, because she had gotten so good at saying the “right” answer for whomever she was with, that she hadn’t taken the time to listen to her inner voice in years. 😕
.
He cooks her each of the types of eggs that she had previously said were her favorite, she tries them all, and for the first time in years, she is empowered to make a choice for herself, rather than trying to please anyone else. She figures out how SHE likes her eggs. Trust me, it’s powerful. 🙌🏼
.
Lately, I feel like I may have forgotten how I like my metaphorical eggs. I’ve been too busy trying to say and be what I think others want or need from me, and I’ve been doing it for too long. 🙅🏼‍♀️
.
2019 is already showing me that it’s time for me to figure out how I like my eggs in every area of my life. I’m ready to be more vulnerable, be more honest, and tune into what I really want out of this life. 💥
.
That was a big share in the form of a movie scene synopsis. Hope you feel me. 💗
