My hair has been a daily source of frustration for awhile, but especially since winter hit, because it’s pretty fine and tends to tangle and dreadlock in 5 seconds or less. So lately I’ve been thinking really hard about cutting it to a little below my shoulders. 💇🏼‍♀️
.
As much as I already complain about my hair fairly regularly, I’m still pretty attached to it (it’s the devil I know lol) and I’m super scared to cut it short… but this also feels like the very reason I should do it. 🤔
.
I know, hair grows back, but mine grows really slowly. Even so, I’m pretty sure I want to break through the walls of this attachment and experience life on the other side. ⚡️
.
I tell myself (and mostly believe) that it will all be really empowering… but I’m also really scared I won’t like it and will have to live with not liking my hair for months… but then I also feel like sitting with and living through those feelings would likely empower me even more. 🤔
.
I can’t decide. 😬
The pros and cons are all real. 😬
.
What do you think?
Should I chop it?
Or not?
Have you cut yours recently?
Are you happy you did?
Please comment and help me decide! 🤷🏼‍♀️🙏🏼
.
Grateful for my friends at @spokeandweal and @aveda because, on the bright side, as much as I’m scared, I trust that no matter what hair choice I make, they’ll have me walking out looking and feeling beautiful. 🙏🏼#styledbyaveda
