About yesterday. I was having a bad mood, felt everything between tired, angry and overwhelmed, but

About yesterday. I was having a bad mood, felt everything between tired, angry and overwhelmed, but mostly sad. It was just one of those days when you feel sad for no apparent reason. First you try to get rid of it because you think your sadness will not allow you to enjoy the day. At least I try to hide it often, as if admitting that I am sad was a bad thing. Suppressing feelings won’t make them disappear. But facing them, allowing them to be there and being present with them will help you to ‘digest’ whatever is going on. And so I embraced it all, reminded myself that it’s only passing and that even though I am sad I am still lovable. Most importantly: my friend reminded me to not feel sad about being sad, because feeling bad about feeling bad won’t make me feel better. Being kind and not judging yourself is the key.
At the end of the day as I sat on my bed and reflected on everything that happened I saw that even though I felt sad the, day was pretty beautiful. Feeling bad is OK and allowing that side of me to also come out is important. #ONANDOFFTHEMAT
